The ability to access services to meet treatment needs is largely dependent on insurance or lack of insurance coverage. There are few areas that would one might consider first in accessing services.
1) If you have insurance, call the number on the back of your card or go on internet to locate your providers in your plan.
2) If you do not have insurance there are a variety of options depending on your circumstances. Below are listed resources not in any particular order as it goes case by case basis:

C) Crisis Center (CC) at 920-436-8888, explain situation and see about the possibility of being access to get in to Diversion. CC is the gatekeeper for Diversion which is a place to help get people stabilized on Mental Health medication. As we understand it could be for a couple of days to maybe 30 or more, but once you leave you are out.
D) Brown County Community Treatment Center @ 920-391-6957 located 3150 Gershwinn Dr. Green Bay (out past the jail), Carol was the contact person I spoke with.
1) If in need of AODA assessment and treatment they can go out pay the $275.00 and have the assessment in 1-2 weeks. AIDS Resource Center, Options, ATTIC also provide assessment and treatment
2) If Mental Health issues they can see a Mental Health therapist on a sliding fee ($15.00) is the lowest amount) and if the counselor assesses the need for medication they can help expedite an appt to see a prescriber, otherwise the waiting list is 2-3 months.
E) If Homeless and a former or current resident of St. John’s Shelter, M.O.R.E. Mental Health Outreach Resource Expansion is available on Tuesdays. M.O.R.E. is ran out of American Foundation of Counseling Services Inc, (920-437-8256 or afterhours number 920-445-8450 if you have questions) providing assessment, referral and on site physical and mental health services to Freedom House, NEW Community Shelter, St. John’s Shelter, House of Hope.
