Margherita Di Salvo

Margherita Di Salvo is Associate Professor at the University Federico II, Italy.

In 2008 she completed her PhD in Linguistics at Istituto di Scienze Umane in colloabortion with Federico II. Her PhD research focused on internal migrations in Italy. Since 2009, she started to research Italian communities abroad in the project “L’identità italiana tra particolarismi e globalizzazione”, carried out by Federico II in collaboration with University of Cambridge and University of Liège. Margherita Di Salvo researched the Italian communities in England and in Bedford.

In 2016-2018, she was a member of the team involved in the research “Lo spazio Italiano globale: il caso dell’Ontario”, aimed at investigating the Italian community in Ontario. 

In 2017-2019, she was the PI of the research “Transnational Italians: the case of Italian communities in the UK”, financially supported by University Federico II and Compagnia di SanPaolo.
