Sight Word Ninja is a fun game that will get students wanting to practice and learn their sight words. Students can use this app up to third grade sight words.

• 3 difficulty levels that range from one sight word at a time on the screen to up to five. The difficulty levels also manage how fast the words come on and off the screen.
• Students will learn by sight, sound and touch by the fun sound effects and animations.
• Settings let the teacher decide what difficulty students can play at, how long each game lasts and what grade level students should be practicing at.
• The app even lets you record your own sight word sounds!

Classroom Use

Sight Word Ninja is a simple way to get students excited about their sight words. Ideas for using Sight Word Ninja in the classroom would be:

• Add it to a literacy center rotation so students have another way to practice their sight words on a regular basis.
• Have it as an option for free time or for early finishers.
• Make it a competition! Have students race to see how many sight words they can get in the amount of time given. Students can race against themselves to beat their own high scores or against other students.
