Student Side

Students will love RAZ Kids because of how engaging the app is. They can pick from over 800 e-books varying from many different categories. Students will find it easy to select a book they are interested in reading. Once students read 10 leveled books and pass the corresponding quizzes, they will be moved to the next reading level. Struggling readers have the ability to listen to a text first, diminishing some of the anxiety of reading a text. Higher readers can read books on their own or record themselves reading. The quiz at the end will test whether they were actually reading for comprehension or just reading to get through the book.

Teacher Side

RAZ Kids is beneficial to the teacher in so many ways. Because RAZ Kids keeps student data for you, you don't have to wonder or guess if your students are on task or doing well. It is a great way to get even more appropriately leveled books into the hands of your kids.

  • Use as a reading center
  • Have available at choice time
  • Have students record themselves reading a book to test fluency.
  • Assign students certain books on a topic or for a small group. Then discuss the book together.
  • Monitor comprehension skills by looking at student quizzes.
  • Use the data given to drive instruction (whole group, small group or one-on-one).
