How much is the membership fee?

$30 per academic year (Fall and Spring semesters). 

Where do I sign up for events and get my event pass?

Sign up on the Involvement Center! You will be able to use your unique event pass to check in once you arrive to in-person meetings. First you need to visit the involvement center website and sign in with your ACE account. Once you tap on your profile, you can access your event pass. To make it easier, this pass does not change over time, so you can screen shot it and keep it in a safe place for future use.

Where will events take place?

We are diligently monitoring the ongoing nature of the pandemic. In order to maintain the health and safety of our members, the majority of our events will be online at this time. 

• To earn credit for in-person events, please make sure to check-in and check-out using the student events pass or the attendance sheet provided in the event.

• To earn credit for online events, please take a screenshot or picture of your screen at the END of the event and send it to prepas.sec@gmail.com. If you have to leave an event early, please contact the officer in charge.

How many credits do I need and how do I check them? Who do I contact to fix them?

You need 5 credits per semester which includes general meetings, philanthropic events, and speaker presentations. You can view these under records, and if you think they need to be fixed contact the secretary at prepas.sec@gmail.com with your name and the event (name and date) that needs to be added to your credits. Please keep these requirements in mind:

• At least 1 credit must be obtained from attending a general meeting

• At least 1 credit must be obtained from any type of participation in the community project for the semester 

• At least  1 credit must be obtained by attending any event (i.e. speaker events or workshop)

What happens if I cannot meet the 5 credits?

Contact us at ppas.unlv@gmail.com with your name and brief explanation of your situation. You may have to schedule an appointment to meet with the officers to come up with a solution.

What do I wear to philanthropic events?

Organization t-shirt/sweatshirt, long pants, and closed toe shoes. If you do not have the t-shirt or sweatshirt yet, please wear a plain black shirt. Remember, you are representing our organization at these events, please keep everything professional.

Where do I get the t-shirt/sweatshirt?

There will be designated pick-up days throughout the semester to get them. Contact us at ppas.unlv@gmail.com with your name and your availability if you are unable to recieve your items at the arranged times.
