Please review the modules on this site while you prepare for your Site Visit Day.
All accreditation site visits for programs are performed by Accreditation Field Representatives who are employed by the ACGME to assess a program's compliance with the Program Requirements.
Currently, the ACGME has suspended in-person accreditation site visits. Click here for information about remote accreditation and recognition site visits.
Pro Tip: An annual review of your specialty-specific program requirements will help to ensure the program remains compliant with the ACGME and will reduce your chances of getting a citation or AFI. New requirements effective July 1st are announced months ahead of time, so be sure to read ACGME weekly emails and check out if there have been any updates to your program requirements at https://www.acgme.org/Specialties/.
The ACGME will conduct their accreditation and recognition site visits virtually. Only a few special cases will be subject to in-person visits and these programs will be notified.
