As senior year approaches for high schoolers, many teachers, counselors, and parents begin to query their children and students about their plans after graduation. These may involve college, trade school, or a job opportunity. The optimal time to begin planning is 10th and 11th grade. The last two years of high school are the optimal time to decide the major to pursue or the career that is most aligned with their interests.
Career development workshop assists participants in outlining their career goals and mapping an action plan to ensure their goals are realized. A framework of brainstorming, empowerment, implementation, and growth for academic and professional pursuits are presented for each participant to assess their plans and revise according to their workshop experience.
