As the sun sets, Shosanji Temple is gently wrapped in silence.
One by one, prayer lanterns begin to glow throughout the temple grounds.
A prayer for your family’s happiness.
A thought for someone dear to you.
A wish for peace.
Hope for the future.
And gratitude for each passing day.
Each thought becomes a light,
and together, they create a beautiful glow of prayer
on this sacred mountain.

Please visit the Prayer Lantern Reception at Shosanji Temple on the day of the event.
You can write your own prayer, wish, name, or personal message on your lantern.
The lanterns will be lit throughout the temple grounds at sunset.
ADVANCE DEDICATION
ADVANCE DEDICATION
You can also dedicate a prayer lantern even if you are unable to attend the event in person.
Simply send us your prayer, wish, or name when you apply, and we will write it on your lantern and dedicate it at Shosanji Temple on your behalf.

On the day of the event, you will be invited to write your own prayer, wish, or message on a lantern and dedicate your light at Shosanji Temple.
One by one, these prayers will come together, creating a beautiful glow that illuminates the sacred mountain.
Our goal is 300 prayer lanterns.
Together, we will create a beautiful and unforgettable scene that exists for this one special night.

Of the contributions received through the Prayer Lantern program, 50% of the proceeds after the cost of producing the lanterns and related expenses will be donated to Shosanji Temple.
This project is about more than creating a beautiful evening.
It is also our way of supporting Shosanji Temple — a sacred place that has preserved centuries of history, prayer, and spiritual tradition — and helping carry its legacy into the future.
Every light you dedicate becomes a small contribution to the future of Shosanji Temple.
