The aim of the project was to develop an algorithm that could automate the measurement of garment sizes using a combination of Landmark Detection, Computer Vision, Deep Learning, and Keypoint Matching. The process began by automating the detection of keypoints in various sections of the garment, which served as reference points for measurement. Once these keypoints were identified, we matched the parallel keypoints to determine the required dimensions of the garment. This automated approach eliminated the need for manual measurement, making the process faster and more efficient.
The coordinates obtained from the detected keypoints were then converted into physical units through calibrated camera parameters, which provided accurate scaling and ensured that the measurements corresponded precisely to the actual garment size. The use of such advanced techniques enhanced the accuracy and usability of the tool, making it a reliable solution for garment measurement.
