Hi! I'm Pranava. I work in applied AI and Computer Vision, with my work and research focused on Autonomous Systems, Healthcare & Biomedical Sciences, Astronomical Imaging & Astrophysics.
My most recent work is SPACE‑SUIT, an AI-based chromospheric feature extractor and classifier developed for the Solar Ultraviolet Imaging Telescope (SUIT), a key payload aboard ISRO’s Aditya‑L1 mission. Published in the journal, Solar Physics, the work enables the detection and classification of fine-scale chromospheric features using enhanced vision techniques. A central contribution of the project is a novel validation framework based on statistical and Tamura moments. The work was carried out at the Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics, India.
In addition to this, I worked on the development of AI-based anthropometry estimation systems for infants up to three months of age at Wadhwani AI. Have contributed to the development of open-source digital twins for oncology at OHSL and built a fetal head segmentation system using the ultrasound data to monitor the fetal growth, at IIST in collaboration with IIPHG. Led the development of a real-time Counter-Drone System, for the Indian Army and served as team lead for ThaparSat, a student-built remote sensing satellite initiative at TIET.
Outside of work, music plays an important role in my life. Trained in classical keyboard from a young age, I later explored Western genres during the COVID-19 lockdown.
This website serves as a curated snapshot of my professional journey, highlighting selected research projects, technical contributions, and key achievements.
