Each page represents one of the major definitions and "standards" for information literacy. On each page you will find definitions created by each group and about a dozen practical information literacy assignments.
Each assignment will include:
Information Literacy Learning Outcome (ILLO) with wording to match the "standard" in question,
Simple instructions worded to match the ILLO (providing a paper trail for accrediting agencies),
most "assignments" are in one of five formats: reference page, evaluation form, content footnote, annotated reference page, or appendix
Generic rubric for the partial assignment (typically a quantity, completeness, and quality component),
many will include a brief example.

This website was originally set up to support a presentation at the Society of Biblical Literature (SBL) Annual meeting in 2017. That presentation was then added as part of a book chapter (https://cart.sbl-site.org/books/0603108P) in McWhirter, Jocelyn, and Sylvie T Raquel, eds. Teaching the Bible with Undergraduates. Resources for Biblical Study, Number 99. Atlanta: SBL Press, 2022. Much of this website and its content was presented again to the Southern CAlifornia Theological Library Association (SCATLA) meeting at Hebrew Union College - Los Angeles in 2018.
In 2023 the threat of Artificial Intelligence raised its head. So, several new presentations were given on how to beat the bots.
