I wrote the following BS in about 1999 I don't feel like editing it or even reading it over but I'm beginning to suspect   I must, eventually.  after that you may go to the wayback machine to see what I mispelt back in the day.

The airplane crash conspiracy is a conspiracy of silence. It is a conspiracy of unasked questions and abandoned investigative leads. The most important perpetrator of this conspiracy is the mainstream media. In today's America, the big media companies - viacom, aoltimewarner, disney, newscorp, and general electric - have control over what most people think is "true." If big media claims something is so, almost everybody believes it. Many recent crashes have been deemed accidents by the authorities and reported as such by the media before any investigation was ever begun. More than the circumstances and evidence surrounding any particular crash, it is this pattern of pre-emptive reporting which should arouse the public's suspicions. For the purposes of a cover-up, management of public opinion is even more important than control of the evidence, especially when the most important evidence is circumstantial and immediately obvious to anybody who cares to think about it: the timing of the crash and the identity of the victim(s). In cases when a death in a crash has a direct effect on the balance of political power in the government, here is a question which must always be asked, and almost never is: "Is it possible that this particular airplane crash was actually an act of sabotage, a political assassination?

I am not suggesting that any particular crash listed below was caused by a criminal act (except those few already so documented, combat deaths being in overlapping categories) Instead I suggest that given the NTSB's accident statistics, the framework of those in charge of oversight and review of  the investigation, and of the folks who might want to oversee them (we can only pray for those who are personally tasked with Carrying it out) should be resilient enough to follow up on A determination  that a criminal act connected to a major political/military/economic power play was involved. And the media might attempt to frame it that way as well.  Such an approach would eventually beg the question, "Who is Really in Charge" and others, like  "Will the bullshit ever end??"  and comments like "Thank God I'm not being treated like an idiot anymore by the news presenters and their producers" . Most crashes on the list that were the result of enemy fire, explosive devices or other confirmed sabotage will be noted as such, eventually. They are few and far between.

Frankly it  is just too much for one person to keep up with. Some crashes are buried deeply in the news, or the fact that a certain person was on a certain plane that crashed does not become known until years later.  All that said and out of the way, I am tempted to stick to virtual flying, myself if possible . having already spent more time in the air than most. I am beyond  reasonably content with my experience and now just really miss owning a sailing vessel . The idea of gaming, including plenty of flying, with unlimited crashes and even playing at war for fun and intellectual challenge is still very appealing. I seriously doubt that naval strategy games with tall masted ships are half as fun as flying a virtual jet fighter though I suppose such an experience might be better in the future.

this page is dedicated to the memory of Lieutenant General David J. McCloud, USAF as is my poem "falling" , in a different way.

He was my hero, the most extraordinary leader anybody could ever hope to meet or spend a moment with. I was blessed with far more than that. i do not know how many of the leaders on the list were scoundrels, or how many were heroes or  martyrs or anything else and a lifetime of research will not shed light on many of them. Alas.

my hope for this page is that when such leaders do fall, they will be noted. if there are paths to the truth and stories that must be told, perhaps some of them will begin here.

it is not meant to minimize the deaths of any civilian officials, seamen, privates, ncos, commissioned officers, children, spouses, pets, pilots, co-pilots, or crew who perished in similar manner. it is inevitable that some "important" ones are overlooked. we can only try.
