Aerospace

In this class we learned about differing aspects of aeronautical engineering and it's history. This ranges from learning about the wright brothers to the space race to how Boeing planes are made. My class was the guinea pig for this program as it had never been taught before at my school. In it we used what we learned about aerospace to build paper airplanes to complete challenges to building gliders to see whose design will go the furthest and finally the most entertaining project of them all is the rocket project we get to do at the end of the semester.  I personally had a blast with the projects and peers I had in this class but it helped me realize that this field is not for me

This image on the left is the aftermath of our rockets at the end of our semester and one of our rockets had pierced through a nearby ticket booth. While building our rocket, we had to use a program with our preselected rocket in order to try and get to the maximum altitude possible. Overall I had gotten the 4th highest altitude in the class which was a great achievement considering I had barely used the simulator.

Space Junk Project

The space junk slideshow shown above is one to allow us to futher our knowledge about the dangers floating right within are atmosphere and what happens when something explodes

These were the numbers we used when testing our rocket dimensions through the use of a simulator.
