I got into a new craft! Carving rubber stamps is meditative and I love using the stamps for letter decoration.
The stamp on the left is a bit more complex, and about the size of a hand. In order to make it I took a drawing, made a high contrast version (only using black and white to create the shapes and using a brush size that's about equal to the smallest gouge I have), printed it out (flipped horizontally!) and used a pencil to put a lot of graphite on the back of the paper so when I put it on top of the rubber with tape and used a pen to trace the print it transferred somewhat onto the stamp base.
Would highly recommend this craft for when you have that itch to do something detailed with your hands!
