Free Clinic
We aim to provide free basic healthcare services to the underserved communities in the Inland Empire and provide a professional interdisciplinary setting for all health professional KGI students to enrich their experiences. We are well on our way to becoming a KGI institution, but we cannot do this without you! We will also be undertaking a series of projects over this next year in advancement of this goal, all of which tie in with our four core philosophies outlined below.
To create an environment of patient empowerment - one that can help educate those we reach out to for maintenance of long-term health.
To encourage a transdisciplinary model that encourages two end-goals: future health professionals working together side-by-side, and a patient-centric model where those we serve are our highest priority.
To have a reciprocal relationship with our community in which those we serve act as teachers to us just as much as we teach them. Just as we will teach them to better care for themselves, they will teach us to be better physicians to them in return.
To maintain a humanistic approach at all times - one in which empathy, listening, and an unconditional positive regard shape and influence every patient encounter, be it virtual or in person.
