8th IPTRN Sweden

The 8th IPTRN conference and community tour will take place from 5th - 9th June 2024, starting and ending in Luleå, Swedish Lapland. The event will be mobile, meaning that we travel through a few different locations in the region, holding paper presentation sessions as well as engaging with tourism stakeholders in local communities and conducting field trips. We pride ourselves on the local connections we make in the communities we visit, and strive to use the meetings for mutual sharing and learning.

The theme for the 8th IPTRN conference and community tour is Making Polar Areas, addressing the various ways in which polar areas are undergoing change (spatially, environmentally, politically, etc.). 

Important dates:

January 2024: Program and registration fee announced

15th February 2024: Abstract submission deadline

10th March 2024: Notification of abstract acceptance
