CONFERENCE ACCOMMODATIONS – please book as soon as possible to ensure you get a room
Both Whitehorse and Dawson City are extremely busy during the summer tourism season. Conference organizers have block booked and negotiated group rates for its conference participants.
It is CRITICAL that you book your room by April 15, 2018 (at the very latest) as we anticipate that the hotels will release our block of rooms back to the general public on this date. If you do not book your rooms before that date, you may not be able to get a room. Hotels typically have a 48 hour cancellation policy – so we encourage you to book your room, even if you still need to confirm a few details regarding your participation.
Accommodations in Whitehorse
The conference begins with a reception evening of June 22, and we depart Whitehorse by coach for Dawson City on June 25, 2018. You are encouraged to book a room for the night of June 28 in Whitehorse. We will return to Whitehorse on this day from Dawson City by coach arriving in Whitehorse at some point in the evening. We cannot guarantee our arrival time but we anticipate it will be sometime after 18:30.
Coach pick up will occur at the two hotels that have been block booked for the conference. Transport is required to and from the conference site at Yukon College (about 5 kms away from downtown Whitehorse).
