Principals of Engineering is a course that applies concepts we learned in Intro to Engineering to real world applications and goes more in-depth on these concepts. Because this is more conceptual based and doesn't really dwell too deep into specific fields of engineering we cover a large variety of fields in engineering such as mechanical, material, and civil engineering. This course also prepares us for more advanced classes by introducing us into small parts of these classes. This was one of my favorite classes as it explored a broad range of fields and helped solidify my desire to become a Mechanical and Aerospace Engineer.
This was our final project for Principals of Engineering, here we where tasked to work in a group to build a marble sorter, this was my first challenge when it came to actually building and creating something, since COVID at the time was just starting to slow down we never actually had any opportunity to build something like this so this was a new challenge. Although it was a rudimentary design it motivated me to keep trying and helped develop many skills that prove to be useful to this day.
