The Anchorage Health Literacy Collaborative

What is TAHLC?

Founded in 2007, The Anchorage Health Literacy Collaborative (TAHLC) is a partnership of private, pubic, and nonprofit organizations to advance the health literacy of the community. It is currently co-led by the Alaska Literacy Program and Alaska Primary Care Association.

The goal of TAHLC is to improve health literacy in underserved populations by building partnerships across the community among the private, public, and nonprofit sectors to provide opportunities that address wellness and quality of life for all residents. Learn more about TAHLC.

Mission:  Working together to improve health outcomes through community connections, education, and access to resources.

Vision:  All people in Anchorage live well

TAHLC Partners

We are continually looking for additional partners to join our award-winning program. TAHLC is an affiliate member of the National Network of Libraries of Medicine. TAHLC is mentioned in several of the articles shared on the About PLNs page.

Even though "Anchorage" is in the name, TAHLC is open to statewide organizations! TAHLC meetings are held on Zoom.

To join TAHLC, fill out the "Partner with PLNs" form. Please select, "Join TAHLC" when answering about your interests with the program. Someone will get back to you with more information about joining TAHLC meetings. Thank you for your interest in making Alaska a healthy and well connected place!
