Lines
West African game
How to Play
STEP 1: Set Up
Draw three parallel lines on the ground.
STEP 2: Choose Defenders
Pick one Defender per line (3 total).
Defenders stay on their own line and guard it.
Everyone else is a Runner.
STEP 3: Play
Runners start behind the first line.
Defenders may move side-to-side but cannot cross their line.
If a Runner is touched, they’re out.
If a Runner crosses all three lines, they win!
Oonch, Neech
(Up, Down)
South Asian game
How to Play
STEP 1: Choose a Chaser
Pick one player to be the Chaser.
Everyone else is a Runner.
STEP 2: Chaser Calls Out UP or DOWN
The Chaser chooses one place they are allowed to tag from:
UP — standing on a park feature (stump, rock, playground equipment)
DOWN — standing on the ground
The Chaser must clearly call out “UP!” or “DOWN!” before tagging.
STEP 3: Play
Runners are safe if they are in the opposite place the Chaser called.
Runners can be tagged if they are not in a safe spot.
The first Runner tagged becomes the next Chaser.
