Counselling

INTRODUCTION

Jesus said’ I have come that they may have life and have it to the full. ‘(John 10:10) Thus PLMC counselling service endeavors to empower God’s people to live life to the fullest.

Our counselling service started in 2013 with the goal of strengthening families, enhancing better marital and family relationships as well as promoting mental wellness

OUR LAY COUNSELLORS

Each of the 7 lay counsellors who has completed their 6-month training is assigned to a supervisor who is a trained counsellor or social worker.

Five supervisors provide monthly individual supervision for the lay counsellors.

To ensure the consistency of supervision and quality of client outcome, our lay counsellors are expected to attend the bi-monthly group supervision.

Training workshops are also organized to further equip our lay counsellors to provide effective psychological, emotional and spiritual support to clients.

OUR COUNSELLING SERVICE

We provide counselling support to church members and worshippers as well as friends and families
of church members who have marital, family, parenting or personal issues.
