OUR MEMBERS
Made up of a music and worship-loving bunch, our vocalists are united in our heart for leading His people into a God-centred time of song. As worshippers before singers, we meditate on the words of the worship set in our advanced preparations, allowing the Spirit of God speak to us through the Sunday set list. We play a role in being not just singers but lead-worshippers, inviting and hosting the presence of God, and leading God’s people to worship Him in Spirit and in Truth.
Worship rehearsals are held on the Friday before the Sunday worship duty. This is when the worship leader, band and vocalists meet from 8pm to 1030pm to run through the set. Vocal arrangements and singing parts will also be worked out during this rehearsal.
MEETINGS
Most of our communication exchanges happen on Whatsapp, where we discuss the songs and arrangements, share youtube links / spotify playlists as references. We also gather on Zoom to discuss the setlist in greater detail, and to hear from the Worship Leader what they have sensed is the Holy Spirit’s direction for the worship set.
CRITERIA
A heart of worship is a must! More than skills, we want to be a worship team that loves Raising Hallelujahs!
If you find yourself singing along to worship songs and being able to remember the lyrics, that’s a huge plus. Some experience in group singing is also great. But if not, vocal lessons and trainings will be provided to equip and hone-in skills.
