Speaker Introduction: Pastor Don Wong
Pastor Don Wong is the Founder and Executive Director of The New Charis Mission and is also one of the founders for Association of Christian Halfway Houses (Singapore) where he is now serving as the President.
Pastor Wong has been serving in anti-drug organisations and Drug Rehabilitation Centers for the past 24 years. A well-received speaker and panellist at many events and conferences, he has spoken and facilitated Discussion Groups and Dialogues in various organisations in Singapore eg. Secondary Schools, National University of Singapore, National Institute of Education, Tertiary Institutions in Singapore, Community Development Centres and Prison Authorities of Singapore.

SOUTH EAST ASIA
1. BL
1.1 Pray for BL to have a HS-led impact as they reach out to pre-believing family members of their ministry members.
1.2 Pray for God’s anointing as BL boldly pray for the sick.
1.3 Pray for wisdom as BL help their ministry members develop a community around themselves.
PARACHURCH WORKERS
1. Fellowship of Evangelical Students, Singapore: Siah May Lan
1.1 Continue to pray for healing on May Lan’s mother who is suffering from stomach cancer and that she will be strong enough to carry on with the new drug treatment.
1.2 Pray for May Lan to adjust to the change and transition to student life from July. Pray for May Lan God’s wisdom, direction and providence to a change to a new organisation and ministry after her sabbatical in June 2024.
1.3 Pray for the transition for May Lan to handover NAFA CF to another colleague in May 2023. Pray for the CF to be revived with new students joining in and for God’s wisdom in starting a mentoring programme in ITE West campus as the potential mentors cannot commit to it yet.
2. Wycliffe Singapore: Grace Tan
2.1 Grace is on Wycliffe Singapore’s board. Praise God for a good board and direction-setting meetings recently. Pray for the board as they strategize and plan activities to share their new vision and mission.
2.2 Wycliffe Singapore’s R200 programme is undergoing some changes. Pray that their refreshed procedures and priorities will be God-led.
3. Navigators Singapore: Roger Yeo
3.1 Pray that the Lord would raise up like-minded labourers who are willing to step up to form a team to shoulder the ministry together with Roger and Pearlyn.
3.2 Praise God for WD who said the sinner’s prayer and received Him into his life last month. Pray that he grows into maturity in faith.
3.3 Pray for J1, J2, M, QG and S, that the light of Christ would shine into their hearts and the gospel would no longer be veiled to them – 2 Cor 4:5-6.
3.4 Pray for Roger and Pearlyn to find renewed strength in Him – Is 40:31.
4. YWAM Singapore: David & Tessa Weiher
4.1 Please pray for David and Tessa‘s upcoming exploration trips to Indonesia in the months of May to July. Pray for God’s guidance, that their hearts are ready to obey and for helpful Kingdom connections.
5. YWAM Singapore: Nicole Lim
5.1 Pray for Nicole in her follow-up action from her reflection of the recce trip she recently completed. Pray that she has a clear sense of direction as she prepares for the coming months and years.
5.2 Pray for Nicole to maintain the posture of heart from what she has received, and to be able to impart her heart to those who share the same vision for the people.
5.3 Pray for Nicole to have a fruitful recce trip as she reconnects with past ministry partners on refugee works in East Asia.
6. YWAM Singapore – Benedict Tan
6.1 Housing : Pray for Benedict and Deborah’s to be a blessing to their hosts as they live in their home for the next 5 months. Do pray for the right doors to open as they navigate through housing options.
6.2 Ministry : Pray for Benedict and Deborah as they discern next steps in ministry as a couple.
6.3 Marriage life : Pray for Benedict and Deborah to learn to love each other deeper as they get to know each other in married life. And for them to be a blessing to those who are around them.
MISSIONS PARTNERS
1. East Asia: TK
1.1 Pray for the physical and spiritual health of TK and the campus team members so that they are empowered to persevere in their ministries in reaching out to the students in the campuses. Pray for good relationships between the four short termers with local friends.
1.2 Pray for TK’s family – health, provision, visa renewal, movements and their visit to Korea this Summer. Pray for healing of glaucoma for TK’s father in-law and diabetes for TK’s mother in-law.
2. South Asia: GEMS
2.1 Pray for the GEMS staff and pastors to continue to stand firm in faith and to serve the Lord faithfully amid persecution and the current pandemic situation.
2.2 Pray for India which is still badly affected by the pandemic - for many people are without jobs and the poor are suffering without basic necessities.
2.3 Pray for the Bible School students that they will be agents of transformation wherever the Lord leads them.
3. East Asia: Songs
3.1 Pray for the Songs as they rest and be refreshed, at home, during their 6 months home assignment.
3.2 Pray for wisdom for the workers of the TAN-NW as they continue to explore ministries among the northern neighbours.
4. Central Asia: C&M
4.1 Pray for C to have the energy, strength and illumination of the Holy Spirit as he conducts one-on-one Bible studies.
4.2 Pray for C & M’s eldest son to graduate well from 12th grade and for God’s guidance in his next step. Pray for God’s provision for the boys who are in the boarding school.
4.3 Pray for the A-Land team leaders to continue walking faithfully with God.
5. Mongolia: Mongolia Living Faith Church
5.1 Please pray for church growth in quality and quantity.
5.2 Please pray for God's protection and good health over our family members.
5.3 Please keep us in your prayer for our summer ministries.
We will have monthly mission trips to Umnudelger and Nalaikh. Please pray that church members and leaders can be encouraged by our visits.
In June, we will do family training, a children’s programme, and a blessing ministry for families with PLMC.
Also, there is a summer camp in July or August—this time we want to have participants from our countryside churches and gather together as a bigger family.

Ministry Executive, Counselling
Reporting to the Director of Counselling, you will be involved in both counselling and management of clients. As a team leader, you will assist in developing the counselling ministry, and work together with a team of volunteers in delivering effective counselling services to our clients.
Responsibilities:
Provide professional counselling services to individuals, couples, families and groups, and preferably having some knowledge to counsel child and youth clients, to improve their well-being
Evaluate the effectiveness of counselling programmes on clients’ progress in resolving identified problems
Collaborate and network with Supervisor and other staff members as part of clients’ treatment plans, and recommend and implement areas for improvements
Prepare and maintain proper documentation of case records
Develop and conduct training and workshops to enhance the well-being of the community
Any other duties as assigned by the Pastor-in-Charge
Requirements:
Minimum Degree in Counselling or equivalent
At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in pastoral care and counselling work
Passionate and dedicated; a team player
Able to work independently and collaboratively with other ministries
Proactive self-starter with analytical and creative mind, good organizational, communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills

1. HOPE Student Care Centre (an Outreach arm of PLMC)
ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT OF HOPE STUDENT CARE CENTRE
BASIC ROLE
The Assistant Superintendent supports the Superintendent in the planning, and organising for staffing, program development and implementation, and budgeting. He/she will be responsible for the efficient day-to-day running of the Student Care Centre, which includes but is not limited to the following:
Assisting the Superintendent in the general administration and financial management of the Centre.
Enhancing the centre’s administrative policies, procedures, and rules.
Monitoring staff movement and pupil movement in and out of Centre; as well as
Overseeing the staff and pupil welfare of the Centre.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Personnel Management
Assists the Superintendent in the annual staff performance appraisal.
Assists the Superintendent in providing sound leadership, direction, guidance, supervision, and motivation for all the staff.
Oversees the movement of staff in and out of the Centre.
Provides staff counselling, coaching, and disciplining whenever required.
2. Student Matters
Oversees the movement of pupils in and out of the Centre.
Oversees the pupil welfare of the Centre
Provides pupil coaching and discipling whenever required
Supervise and provide guidance to the students in their studies.
3. Others
Assists in the implementation, planning and execution of the curriculum and programs.
Assists in the promotion and dissemination of news and publicity about the Centre
Assists in the planning and coordinating of programmes, with external vendors
and liaising with relevant government authorities to ensure compliance with all government regulations.
Maintains and monitors proper records of Centre’s daily activities, e.g. accidents, discipline actions taken by staff
Performs all other related duties described herein or such other duties as shall be assigned by the Superintendent from time to time
Job Requirements:
• Minimum Diploma or higher
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in the related field
• Student Care related course certificates or Early Childhood in Education training will be advantageous
• Required Skill(s): Leadership, manpower management, programme planning, coordination, programme execution, operation planning, communication skills
• Computer Skills – Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and experience with apps for social media is advantageous
PROGRAMME STAFF (HOPE STUDENT CARE CENTRE)
BASIC ROLE
The Programme staff supports the Superintendent in the development of programs for students. She/He will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Student Care Centre, which includes but not limited to the following:
Implement and executes programs for the students
Supervise and guide the children (Primary 1 to 6) in their study to ensure completion of daily homework
Guide students in creating good habits in their daily lives
Provide a secure, caring, and loving environment for the students in the Centre.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise and provide guidance to the students in their studies.
Provides students with opportunities to grow.
Supervise the students in terms of their behaviour and learning habits. Always use positive disciple techniques.
Plans, prepare, and execute programs with the Staff to enhance the total development of the students.
Assist with administrative duties (Enrolment, collect of fees and forms) and upkeep of centre premises.
Ensure safety and timely transfer of students from school to student centre.
Preparation of progress reports for each student.
Participates and support in the Centre’s programmes. (In-house, Outdoor and Outreach)
Performs all other related duties described herein or such other duties as shall be assigned by the Superintendent from time to time.
Job Requirements:
Minimum “O” Level or higher with tutoring experience with Primary school students is advantageous
Able to teach Primary School Subjects
Passionate about working with children
Possess good communication ad classroom management skills
Creative and loving energy with a positive disposition
Computer Skills – Microsoft Office and Google Suite
