Missions Prayer List (August 2023)
SOUTH EAST ASIA
1. BL
Pray that the breakthrough achieved among a group of youths recently be sustained through daily filling of the Holy Spirit and letting Christ's words abide in them.
Pray for wisdom as BL deals with the tax department officials who are trying to tax them unnecessarily for the closing of their defunct company.
Pray for BL wisdom to know how to assist key people form localised communities for outreach.
PARACHURCH WORKERS
1. Wycliffe Singapore: Grace Tan
Pray for Wycliffe Singapore R200 programme as it is going through restructuring. Pray that the changes will benefit all involved especially the field projects that they are supporting.
2. Navigators Singapore: Roger Yeo & Pearlyn Pang
Pray that the Lord would raise up like-minded labourers who are willing to step up to form a team to shoulder the ministry together with Roger and Pearlyn.
Pray for J1, J2, M, QG and S, that the light of Christ would shine into their hearts and the gospel would no longer be veiled to them – 2 Cor 4:5-6.
Pray that Roger and Pearlyn would grow in capacity and continue to find strength in the Lord as they balance family and ministry demands.
3. YWAM Singapore: David & Tessa Weiher
Pray for David & Tessa’s preparations as they’re getting ready for a year of language learning and ministry exploration in Indonesia from October onwards.
Pray for a special grace for their families in this time of transition.
4. YWAM Singapore: Nicole Lim
Pray for Nicole to have a refreshing time of serving in YSG celebration of His faithfulness & supporting Regional FOCUS Staff Development programme.
Pray for Nicole’s travel plans to:
- Batam for YWAM’s retreat (Sep),
- Thailand for YWAM Global Leader’s gathering (Sep),
- South Korea for speaking arrangement at YWAM’s Discipleship training course & King’s kids. (Dec)
Pray for Nicole’s preparation – logistics, lodging, programmes – and for God’s divine arrangements to meet with the participants in all the programmes.
5. WEC Singapore: Angel Tan
Pray for Angel to have good spiritual conversations with anyone and everyone that God brings her way, whether they are supporters, old friends, or new people she meets in church.
Pray for some sense of structure and routine, even as Angel and her family are still in the midst of traveling and visiting people, especially for Angel's work with the Younger Generations Initiative (YGI).
Pray for the core team for YGI, that the right members that God has prepared in advance, will say yes to joining and be excited for what He is doing in WI for the furtherance of His kingdom.
MISSIONS PARTNERS
1. East Asia: TK
Pray for new campus team members to be raised and join the ministry work of reaching out to the students in the campuses, next year. Pray that they will be able to commit for one year and have no issues financially and getting visas.
Pray for TK’s family – health, provision, and visa renewal in March. Pray for TK’s second son as he studies one semester before he serves his National Service.
2. East Asia: Songs
Praise God as the Songs welcomed their grandson on 1 August. Pray for Nael to grow healthy and strong under God’s grace.
Many of the NW workers are traveling back to their hometown to visit with their parents, many of whom are still not believers. Please pray that God will open their spiritual eyes and hearts and be receptive to the Truth. Please pray, too, for a time of rest and encouragement for the workers as they share and have fellowship with friends.
3. East Asia: Mongolia Living Faith Church
Please pray for church growth in quality and quantity.
Please pray for God's protection and good health over our family members.
Please pray for the monthly mission trips to Umnudelger and Nalaikh. Please pray that church members and leaders can be encouraged by the visits.
4. South Asia: GEMS
Pray for the GEMS staff and pastors to continue to stand firm in faith and to serve the Lord faithfully amid persecution.
Pray for the Bible School students that they will be agents of transformation wherever the Lord leads them.
5. South Asia: CCI Bangladesh
Pray for the CCI tentmakers programme as they equip themselves for the field. They will be having field internships from July to December.
Pray that new believers will stand firm in faith and serve the Lord faithfully amid persecution.
6. Central Asia: C&M
Pray for C as he travels with a husband of a potential couple from Australia who are interested to serve as medical doctor and Church Planting worker. Pray that C&M would have clarity from God if their role is to provide support to this couple under their business consultancy platform or to just help them get started in the land.
Pray for God’s provision and clarity for C&M’s eldest son’s university enrolment and continued provision for their second and third sons' school fees, visas and all paperwork for the new school year.
Pray for the locals in C & M's community to continue to have courage, vision and passion for reaching out to their family and friends and sharing the good news.

Ministry Executive, Counselling
Reporting to the Director of Counselling, you will be involved in both counselling and management of clients. As a team leader, you will assist in developing the counselling ministry, and work together with a team of volunteers in delivering effective counselling services to our clients.
Responsibilities:
Provide professional counselling services to individuals, couples, families and groups, and preferably having some knowledge to counsel child and youth clients, to improve their well-being
Evaluate the effectiveness of counselling programmes on clients’ progress in resolving identified problems
Collaborate and network with Supervisor and other staff members as part of clients’ treatment plans, and recommend and implement areas for improvements
Prepare and maintain proper documentation of case records
Develop and conduct training and workshops to enhance the well-being of the community
Any other duties as assigned by the Pastor-in-Charge
Requirements:
Minimum Degree in Counselling or equivalent
At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in pastoral care and counselling work
Passionate and dedicated; a team player
Able to work independently and collaboratively with other ministries
Proactive self-starter with analytical and creative mind, good organizational, communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills

Administration Manager
Assist school leaders with finance, human resource management, stakeholder management and general administration of the school. Learn more about the role and how to apply.
Roles and responsibilities:
You will play a key role in assisting the school leaders in finance, human resource management, stakeholder management and general administration of the school. You will supervise a small team of Executive and Administrative Staff (EAS) to achieve excellence in school administration and operations.
Your job will include:
Support the school leaders in aligning the objectives and work plan to the overall objectives of the school to meet the school’s strategic needs.
Support the school leaders in developing and maintaining positive relationships with the schools’ stakeholders such as parents, vendors, and the public, etc.
Oversee and manage the school’s budgeting process and financial operations, for example, budget exercises, asset and inventory tracking, handling audit queries, etc.
Manage the administration of overall procurement processes in schools to ensure compliance with MOE guidelines.
Support the school in human resource management including manpower resourcing and benefits administration.
Support the holistic development of students including the management of pupil placement and programmes such as financial assistance schemes and admissions exercises.
Assist to drive implementation and use of IT infrastructure to increase productivity including integrating Information and Communications Technology (ICT) into administrative processes, and leveraging ICT to improve efficiency in work processes and in supporting teaching and learning.
Requirements:
At least 2 years experience in finance, procurement, human resources or general administration.
Strong interpersonal, organisation and communication skills, as well as the ability to lead and work well in teams.
A dynamic and motivated individual with a keen interest in continuous improvement and work excellence.
A keen interest in Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and prior experience in IT or project management would be an advantage.
Administrative Executive
Help ensure the smooth operation of the school by assisting the school leaders and Administration Manager in finance, procurement, student services, stakeholder management and general administration. Learn more about the roles and how to apply.
Roles and responsibilities:
You will be part of the School Administration Team (SAT) assisting the school leaders and Administration Manager in the areas of finance, procurement, student services, stakeholder management and general administration.
Your job responsibilities will include:
Assisting the school leaders in maintaining positive relationships with the schools’ stakeholders, such as students, parents, teachers, vendors and the broader community
Assisting in the school’s financial operations, including collection of finances, processing of payments and claims, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations
Assisting in procurement matters and processes as well as the management of contracts, as required by the school
Assisting in the coordination and administration of personnel matters such as engagement of relief staff and providing advice to staff on HR aspects
Supporting the implementation of security and safety procedures and measures in the school
Supporting the review and streamlining of processes for efficient and effective running of the General Office, for example, pupil placement and applications
Providing support in administering various MOE IT systems in the school
Requirements:
You should have:

PROGRAMME STAFF, HOPE STUDENT CARE CENTRE (PART TIME)
BASIC ROLE
The Programme staff supports the Superintendent in the development of programs for students. She/He will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Student Care Centre, which includes but not limited to the following:
Implement and executes programs for the students
Supervise and guide the children (Primary 1 to 6) in their study to ensure completion of daily homework
Guide students in creating good habits in their daily lives
Provide a secure, caring, and loving environment for the students in the Centre.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise and provide guidance to the students in their studies.
Provides students with opportunities to grow.
Supervise the students in terms of their behaviour and learning habits. Always use positive disciple techniques.
Plans, prepare, and execute programs with the Staff to enhance the total development of the students.
Assist with administrative duties (Enrolment, collection of forms) and upkeep of centre premises.
Ensure safety and timely transfer of students from school to student centre.
Preparation of progress reports for each student.
Participates and support in the Centre’s programmes. (In-house, Outdoor and Outreach)
Performs all other related duties described herein or such other duties as shall be assigned by the Superintendent from time to time.
Job Requirements:
Minimum “O” Level or higher with tutoring experience with Primary school students is advantageous
Able to teach Primary School Subjects
Passionate about working with children
Possess good communication and classroom management skills
Creative and loving energy with a positive disposition
Computer Skills – Microsoft Office and Google Suite
