on 5 July, 8pm in the Sanctuary.

The English, Filipino, Mandarin, Peranakan and Youth congregations will come together to celebrate PLMC’s 91st Anniversary on 9 Jul 2023.  Silver Boxes will also have their own celebration. Please note that the services and Silver Boxes sessions will be at 8.30am and 11am instead of the usual timings. The Breakfast Counter will NOT be open that morning.

Do you feel like you have a knack for design/art but are not sure where to channel your creative juices? Well look no further, because we have the outlet for you! PLMC is organising a PLMC Corporate Tee Shirt Design Competition, for the tee shirt that will be given out as the 92nd anniversary gift. This tee shirt will be for use in activities as a church in the coming Year of Engagement in 2024. And of course, there will be a prize for the winning design!

If you’d like to participate in this competition, the design brief is as follows:

1.   Theme is We are a Family Blessed to Bless the Community and the Nations

2. It is for the whole church, so any words should be bilingual (Chinese and English) or no words at all

3. The design should be suited to the very young (Silver Boxes kids) to the elderly (GYM), i.e. all age groups!

4.   The design can be on any part of the tee-shirt

5.     No colour restriction

Deadline for submissions is 2 Jul 23. Digital submissions should be emailed to communications@plmc.org. For submission of physical designs, please email communications@plmc.org to arrange.

•  The 2023 P1 Registration Exercise will be fully online. Similar to last year, there will not be any in-person registration at schools.

• For Phase 2B, MOE registration starts 9.00 am on Monday, 24 July 2023 to 4.30pm on Tuesday 25 July 2023.  Result will be on Monday, 31 July 2023.

Actually, if you are unwell, you should stay home to rest and recover. But if you are NOT feeling unwell and this is just an attack of the “ahems” or “morning nose”, then please wear a mask to allay any fears your fellow worshippers might have. You can get a mask from the ushers if you don’t have one with you.

Sun 28 May 2023 is Pentecost Sunday and begins the season of Pentecost. 

Pentecost celebrates the giving of the Holy Spirit as the Paraclete / Advocate and the birth of the Church. Coming 50 days after Easter, the season’s liturgical colour is red, symbolizing the Holy Spirit’s fire and the blood of the martyrs. Pentecost focuses on the gift and the work of the Holy Spirit, and the themes include God’s community (the Church), the gifts and fruits of the Spirit, and spreading the Gospel.
