DISCIPLESHIP & NURTURE

ALPHA COURSE (Sat 29 Apr to 17 Jun 2023)

Are you curious about what Christianity is? You want to share the gospel with a friend or family member, but do not know how? Join us or invite them to the Alpha Course. The Alpha Course is an opportunity to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed environment. It is a practical introduction to the basics of Christianity centred around a talk and small group discussion.

Who is Alpha for?
Anyone can come to the Alpha Course! You don’t need to be a Christian or churchgoer to qualify. We welcome anyone who is interested to know more about the Christian faith, and what God says about life.

How Does the Gospel Sound in Buddhist Ears?

“In missions and in evangelism, we are often more concerned about what we say than how our listeners hear and understand the Gospel. Often times, the Gospel as we usually present is not understood by others in the way we wish for them to know.

At this mission dialogue, we invite you to reflect with us and the speaker on how we typically share our faith with others – the words and language that we use and also our methods. Are there more relatable means to share the Gospel and to be a more winsome witness to others?”

Organised by: Singapore Centre for Global Missions

Speaker: Dr Chansamone Saiyasak (missionary in Thailand, and serving in various capacities in schools and seminaries in the work of missions)

Moderator: Ms Claire Chong (Training and Research Associate with SCGM; member of Trinity Methodist Church; and member of TRAC BOWE)

Date: 14 April 2023 (Fri), 8.45am – 10.30am

Platform: Online via Zoom
