PRAYER FOCUS

CHILDREN'S MINISTRY

Silver Boxes

  1. We thank God for the partnership with the Prophetic Team and Church Conference team in the recent Collage Making Poster Workshop. The children encountered the Lord, and learnt what unity meant for them. It was a very meaningful event and the children enjoyed themselves, connecting with God and one another.

  2. We pray for the new year as we embark on another year of onsite programmes for the children.

  3. Pray for the plans for Silver Boxes as we partner with the church in the 90th Anniversary Celebrations.

Sonshine Kids

  1. We thank God for the increase in the number of children who came to our Sonshine Kids Christmas Outreach and pray for these children to continue to come and join us in January 2022.

  2. We pray for our upcoming programmes for the children and also our plans to reach out to the community kids.

  3. We are planning for our Chinese New Year programme and pray that God’s anointing will flow in and through us.

DISCIPLESHIP & NURTURE

  • We pray for those who have responded in all our Evangelistic Christmas Services and programmes, that God may guard and watch over them, that they will respond well to the follow up and they themselves will follow through with the decisions they have made. Cover them with the love of Jesus.

  • Also pray for those involved in this process that they be filled with words of grace and a heart of love, as they reach to those who have responded.

  • We praise God for the participants of Disciple Class of 2021 who have completed their course. May they continue to grow in the grace of God and the fruit of the Spirit. We pray that what they have learnt not only impacts their own lives but also brings godly influence to those around them.

  • Let’s pray for ourselves and the Church, that we will make intentional plans to spend time with God, grow in the Word and deepen our discipleship walk in this new year.

YOUNG ADULTS MINISTRY

  • We welcome our 19-year-olds joining us from the Youth Ministry. Pray for smooth transition for them.

  • Pray for our young adult cells as they continue to grow deeper in God’s word and fellowship with each other in the new year.

  • Pray for our young adults who are returning to their universities & polytechnics as they refocus on their studies and internships.

  • Pray for our young adults to be a godly influence, and to bless others around them.

YOUTH MINISTRY

  • Please pray that our Sec 1s, who have entered into new Secondary schools will find that God is with them and that even though they are in a new environment, they will find their place quickly and continue to proceed and excel in their studies. Pray that God will position them to have good friendships that will be a positive influence to one another.

  • Pray for our young men who will be starting their National Service that they will turn to God at all times to find their strength, encouragement, and comfort in a new environment. Pray that God’s wisdom and favour will guide their way even when away from the comfort of their home. Pray that they, too, will make good buddies that will be a strong pillar to one another and that they will shine brightly as a child of God during their time of service.

CARE & HEAL

CARE HUB (English & Chinese)

Care Hub is formed to support and journey alongside our members / worshippers whose lives and livelihoods have been affected by this crisis. The end goal of Care Hub is pastoral care, for someone to journey with them and remind them they are beloved of God and to find strength in God to face the challenges.

As each individual has different needs, Care Hub serves as a one-stop helpline where an individual can obtain support in the church in various areas. If you have been affected by this crisis, Care Hub is here to support you.

English version : CAREHUB.PLMC.ORG
Chinese version :

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Do I need to be a worshipper at PLMC to obtain help for Care Hub?

As long as you have been worshipping with us, either on-site or online, you are welcome to obtain help from Care Hub. We seek to journey with you as a family of faith during, and beyond, the COVID-19 period.

2. Is it compulsory for a Care Befriender to journey with me?

Yes, it is. We are not designed to journey alone. The church is the Body of Christ and each of us is a part of the body. Having a Care Befriender in this journey is to experience the community and interdependence of our Triune God. God is never alone; we need others too.

3. How long will the Care Befriender journey with me?

Each person has a different journey. Each journey is unique. In general, the Care Befriender will journey with you 3 – 6 months. Let these be a meaningful journey of deepening in God through the company of another.

4. Can I request for pastor to be my spiritual mentor/counsellor?

Yes, you can make the request, but we are all called to be a priesthood of believers hence most likely a mature believer will be assigned to journey with you. Trust that it is God’s hand that has led you thus far, and He will ensure that you are mentored or counselled by the right person with the necessary spiritual gifts for you.

5. I am not affected by COVID-19 but I need someone to talk to. Do I send my request through Care Hub?

No, Care Hub specifically caters to those who have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and its ramifications. Please contact the relevant ministry that caters to your need directly. Contact details can be found at the end of this site, under ‘Our Ministries’.
