If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. – 2 Chronicles 7: 14
As we start the new year, let’s meet to pray in the Sanctuary on Wed 4 Jan 2023 at 8pm. No registration required.
As we heed the Lord’s vision for PLMC to be “A family blessed to bless the community and the nations”, let us intentionally devote the first missions prayer meeting of 2023 to the Lord through worship and prayer on 11 January ONSITE. Let’s start the year praying and fasting for God’s empowerment to be upon us as we seek to pray for ourselves and the nations.

Dearest friends and co-labourers of God,
I greet you in the Name of Jesus Christ our Saviour. Please pray along with me:
O God our Heavenly Father, we want to thank you and praise you for allowing us to partner with you in bringing your joy, your peace, your love, and your hope to the people in our community this Christmas season. You have given us the mandate to love our neighbours. You have also given us the mandate to do good works. And yet, you also open the doors for us and give us the opportunities to make sure that we can carry out the mandate. You have shown us who in our community need to know you, need to know your Son Jesus Christ, and who need to be convicted by your Holy Spirit to want to receive and enter your Kingdom.
We thank you for the smooth running of the Christmas Block Blessing. We thank you for the quick and enthusiastic responses from the cell groups and individuals who participated in the Block Blessing. We thank you for your provision of the goody bags that we brought to the families. We pray that they will respond to our invitation to our Christmas Musical and also to the Mandarin Services in December. And for those who do come, O God, we ask that you fill their hearts with your love and with a knowledge of you. We pray that they will turn to you and be willing to give their lives to Jesus.
We thank you also for guiding us and leading us in organising the Christmas Parties for Hope Student Care Centre, B12 Youth, St Luke’s Eldercare Centres, and the Anglican Family Centre. We pray for all of them, that they may know your peace and find rest in you. We pray for the staff in these centres, that you will bless them with forbearance and strength to minister and serve the children, elderly, and the women in the coming new year.
We pray for the families in Blk 223A Serangoon Ave 4 and Blk 8 Lor Lew Lian. We shall be bringing Christmas blessings to them along with the essential food items. We pray that as we give them special meals and festive gifts, they will receive them knowing that these blessings come from you; that we are mere conduits of your love to them.
We pray for the Angel Tree Project. We pray for the incarcerated and for their families whom we shall be bringing Christmas blessings to. We pray that the families would be willing to forgive their jailed kin. We pray for our volunteers who are delivering the blessings to be kept safe, and that the families would be cordial to them and be willing to receive the gifts and letters from their kin. We pray that through this work, the families will know of your love for them and for their incarcerated family member, and that your desire is that their relationships are restored so that you can begin restoring your image in each of them that was broken.
We pray for the Friends Of Jesus, the homeless and rough sleepers who are still without homes. We ask that you watch over them and protect them, and that they will find sufficient shelter from the monsoon rains. We pray that those who have family issues will find reconciliation with their family members and that they will eventually be able to go home or find a home to live in. Still, we know that you have pointed them out to us, Lord God. So, we will continue to minister to them and to serve them. This Christmas we will bring them special food and gifts. We pray that we will be able to show them the love and care that is so lacking in their lives. And we pray that our Friends Of Jesus will receive this love willingly and realise that this love actually comes from you.
We pray all these things in Jesus’ Name. Amen!
