PRAYER FOCUS

CORPORATE PRAYER POINTERS

PLMC Prayer Concerns (God’s heart for the lost)

A) Co-workers with God (1Cor 3:9)

  • We will all have a vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ and know that apart from Him, we can do nothing spiritual; that as we abide in Him and His words abide in us, we will become His fruitful co-workers (John 15:5-8).

  • We will learn from Jesus how to have His yoke that is easy and burden that is light; that we are able to work by resting upon Him; not be weary, burdened or burnt-out (Matt 11:28-30).

  • We will take our various tasks as assigned by the Lord; some plant the seed, some will water it, and God will make it grow (1Cor 3:5-6). To depend on work of Holy Spirit.

B) Share God’s heart-beat for the lost

  • To be moved by God’s great love for the lost that we are like Jesus sent out into the world (John 3:16), to be His light to a people living in darkness.

  • PLMC members to be active in befriending, community outreach, evangelism, missions and follow-up in discipleship.  To be committed in praying for salvation of the lost.

PLMC Prayer Concerns (Christmas Outreach)

C) Filipino Christmas Service Outreach, 4 Dec

  • Thanksgiving for huge number of new guests (est 50 pax). Service attendance was 167 pax.

  • Praise the Lord for 23-25 who responded to altar call, in salvation or re-dedication when Ps Hazeil spoke powerfully in the Spirit.

  • Pray for the work of following-up with our guests; for long-lasting fruit in relationships.

D) Christmas Musical, 22-24 Dec

  • Overwhelming demand for tickets! Pray shortage will not hinder members’ invitation to pre-believers, seekers and back-slidden Christians.

  • Pray that invited guests will be in attendance. Pray against hindrances, blockages or excuses that the devil might use to stop guests from coming e.g. busyness, last-minute happenings, tiredness, sickness, rain, etc.

  • Gospel clearly shared through the musical, message by Ps Vincent and illumination by the Holy Spirit. Pray for hearts to be touched, good responses and a harvest of souls.

E) Mandarin Evangelistic Services, 27 Nov to 25 Dec

  • Thanksgiving that many members committed to pray and to try bring guests to Sunday services during this Advent season, and for Christmas service.

  • Pray God’s anointing upon the various speakers who will be giving evangelistic messages with themes based on hope, love, joy and peace.

  • Rejoice and praise the Lord for several people who had already responded to altar call in salvation or re-dedication.

F) Christmas Celebrations in the Community

o  Christmas party-celebrations at St Luke’s ElderCare, Anglican Family Centre for women & children, Hope Student Care Centre, Migrant Worker Dormitory.

o  Christmas Block Blessings at Serangoon Central (10 blocks) and Lor Lew Lian (1 block).

  • Pray for our members to bring Christmas joy and cheer to people in the communities above. Good news of Jesus shared in creative ways. Continual befriending and bridge-building.

World Prayer Concerns

G) Malaysian Government and Politics

Pray for :

  • A stable and inclusive Malaysian government that would be good for all races and religions.

  • A PM who will be able to foster unity and cooperation among rivals, without resorting to excessive compromise that would lead to eventual infighting, bribery, corruption.
