Are you curious about what Christianity is? You want to share the gospel with a friend or family member, but do not know how?

Join us or invite them to the Alpha Course. The Alpha Course is an opportunity to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed environment. It is a practical introduction to the basics of Christianity centred around a talk and small group discussion.

Who is Alpha for?
Anyone can come to the Alpha Course! You don’t need to be a Christian or churchgoer to qualify. We welcome anyone who is interested to know more about the Christian faith, and what God says about life.

What is it?
Alpha is a series of interactive sessions that explore the meaning of life. A topic is explored followed by a discussion where you can freely ask questions and share your opinions. It’s fun, relaxed, and totally no pressure.

When?
The course will happen on 13, 20, 27 April & 4, 18, 25 May 2024 from 10am – 12.30pm.
Alpha Weekend: 11 May 2024, from 10am - 5pm

• On 7 April, there will be Silver Boxes, Peranakan & Filipino Services. 

The Youth, English & Mandarin Services will be as usual that weekend.

• However, Holy Communion for Youth, English & Mandarin Services will be celebrated on the 2nd week, 13 & 14 April instead of the usual first week of the month.

• Holy Communion to the Homebound will be on the third week, 18 April.

And Holy Communion for the Peranakan Service will continue as usual on the first Sunday of the month, 7 April.

• Do also note that on 14 April, there will not be Silver Boxes Children’s Ministry or Filipino Service so we encourage you to come and worship as a household.

If you need any Holy Communion Elements for the online services, please collect them at our office reception during office opening hours, and on Sundays before and after service at the Sanctuary entrance.

Our church office is open on the following days and times:

• • Mon, Tue, Thu and Fri – 10.00am to 4.00pm

  • Sat – 9.00am to 1.00pm

  • Wed, Sun & Public Holidays - closed

Our Corporate Prayer Meeting which usually takes place on the 1st Wednesday of the month will see some changes in April & May:

• In April, we will meet on the last Wed of the month, 24th April, as our pastors will be away at the TRAC retreat.

• In May, because the 1st Wed is Labour Day - a Public Holiday, there will be no meeting and we encourage you to visit PLMC Today to see our full list of Prayer Pointers and pray continually in your homes.

Early Bird Discount for the Church Camp ends on March 31, 2024.

The Methodist Preschool is extending a members’ promotion to all Methodist Church members who are looking to enrol their children or grandchildren in any one of its six centres.

Actually, if you are unwell, you should stay home to rest and recover. But if you are NOT feeling unwell and this is just an attack of the “ahems” or “morning nose”, then please wear a mask to allay any fears your fellow worshippers might have. You can get a mask from the ushers if you don’t have one with you.

Sun 31 March 2024 is Resurrection Sunday and begins the season of Eastertide. Colours for Easter Sunday are WHITE & GOLD, for the other Sundays WHITE.

Eastertide begins on Easter Sunday, and Christ the Resurrected and Living Lord is emphasized, along with the themes of rebirth, new life, and victory over sin and death. It is a season of great celebration throughout Christendom, and the liturgical colour of white symbolizes purity and this celebratory mood. Christ’s ascension is celebrated 40 days after Easter on Ascension Day.
