HIGHLIGHTS
Jesus gave us all His followers a commission, to go make disciples of all nations. As a church, our vision is to be a blessing not just to the community but the nations. That is the focus of the Year of Expansion next year.
To prepare us for it, the Missions team is organising a Missions Engagement event on 26 October, where they will share more about the Year of Expansion and the initiatives that you, your family and cell group can be involved in. There will also be engaging workshops to equip you for the work ahead.
Date: Saturday, 26 Oct 2024
Time: 9am-3.30pm
Venue: PLMC Sanctuary

“Begin with the end in mind.” So wrote Stephen Covey in “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People”.
The book of Revelation has been studied in order to know about what will happen in the last days. But can it give us insights about our discipleship in the present time? How will our discipleship journey be shaped by knowing what really matters in the end?
Join Bishop Emeritus Dr Wee Boon Hup to examine the biblical scenario of the end of Revelation, and explore what it means for us to be effective disciples today.
Dates: Wednesdays, 9,16,23 & 30 Oct 2024
Time: 7.30pm-9.45pm
Venue: Chapel

The Methodist Preschool is extending a members’ promotion to all Methodist Church members who are looking to enrol their children or grandchildren in any one of its six centres.
This is valid for first-time enrolments only. Check out their website for details, and also to find out more about the new full-day programme starting at Faith Methodist Preschool.
Please mask up if you are coughing or sniffling
Actually, if you are unwell, you should stay home to rest and recover. But if you are NOT feeling unwell and this is just an attack of the “ahems” or “morning nose”, then please wear a mask to allay any fears your fellow worshippers might have. You can get a mask from the ushers if you don’t have one with you.
THE CHRISTIAN CALENDAR - KINGDOMTIDE
Kingdomtide starts 25 Aug 2024.
Kingdomtide, known as Ordinary Time in some churches, starts on the last Sunday in August, and is the last season in the Christian calendar. The season’s emphasis is on Christ the King Eternal, and the themes are the Kingdom of God, the Christian life and maturity, and spiritual growth, both personal and corporate. The liturgical colour is green, symbolizing growth and God’s eternal kingdom.
