The King has come and announced the coming of the Kingdom of God (Mark 1:15). What is this Kingdom all about? We often talk about it, but do we have a clear understanding what the Kingdom of God is all about? Strangely, Jesus never defines it. He merely tells stories to illustrate what the Kingdom is like. How has the coming of the Kingdom shaped the worldview, ethics, and mission of those who follow Jesus?

Come and join Rev Dr Lim Kar Yong in this journey of discovery about what it means to be citizens of this Kingdom.

Instructor:

Kar Yong is passionate about anything related to the New Testament – the Greek language, manuscripts, archaeology, geography, and history of the New Testament era. He teaches New Testament Studies at Seminari Theoloji Malaysia and regularly leads study tours to the Holy Land, Turkey, and Greece. He is also an Anglican priest in the Diocese of West Malaysia. Sanctuary Lift Upgrade

We are pleased to inform you that we are replacing the Sanctuary lift after almost 20 years. The lift will be out of service from 7 June for about 3 months, and we hope to be able to have the new lift up and running in September. We are currently working out the operational details and will update you as we confirm them. Please pray for a smooth renovation.

Covid-19 Safe Management Measures Update

We praise and thank God for His goodness towards us and for blessing us with the resumption of onsite services this year. Nevertheless, we want to be personally responsible for our own safety and not take God’s goodness for granted.

In line with the advisories from the authorities, we are tightening our Safe Management Measures (SMM) as follows:

1. Onsite Sunday Services

  • The Youth Service which is held at Agape Hall, PLMGS will be suspended until further notice.

  • The English Services will proceed with 100 worshippers at each service from 16 May 2021

  • The Mandarin Services will proceed with 50 worshippers at each service from 16 May 2021

  • Silver Boxes and the Filipino Service will proceed unchanged.

Note: If you have been called up for or have taken a swab test in Apr/May 2021, we pray the result is negative for Covid-19. Please refrain from coming to church until you receive the negative result.

The online services remain unchanged.
English Service 9am
live.plmc.org

Mandarin Service 11.15am ms.live.plmc.org

2. Church Office Closure Extended

The Church Office will remain closed until further notice. Please call 6100 7562 for urgent pastoral assistance.

3. TraceTogether-Only SafeEntry Brought Forward

From 17 May 21, only the TraceTogether app or token will be accepted for SafeEntry check-in at all places of worship. Other modes of SafeEntry, eg using your phone’s camera to scan the QR code, using the Singpass app and scanning of barcodes on personal IDs will be discontinued. Please download the TraceTogether app or collect the token as soon as you can to avoid any inconvenience.

Please continue to pray for God's protection and guidance upon our Church leaders and staff as they do their best to keep our worshippers safe. Pray also that we will love and care for one another so that God's name may be glorified and His kingdom extended.

Change of Sanctuary Zone Name

To better reflect the Mezzanine Floor on Level 4 of the Sanctuary, and to avoid the auditory confusion between Zone D and Zone B, we have renamed Zone D to Zone M from Mon 26 Apr 2021 onwards. Everything else remains the same.
