Holy Week Services
HOLY WEEK SERVICES
The theme for this year’s Good Friday and Easter services is Set Free into Living Hope. You will hear an amazing story of how God sets us free from the chains that bind us and learn about what we receive from the risen Christ when we have been set free. This message is not just for you. It’s for everyone.
So, if you have a friend or a loved one who is in distress, who needs hope and God's love, invite them to our online or onsite English or Mandarin service. Be prepared for the Lord to set us free into a living hope.

Topics covered include Biblical view of marriage, expressing feelings and learning to listen, importance of commitment, resolving conflict, talking about goals and values, keeping love alive, and dealing with finances.
Those who are planning to get married are encouraged to attend this course at least one year before the wedding date. Please note that this course is only held once a year.
Dates:
Wed 14, 21, 28 Apr, 5, 12, 19 May & Thu 27 May 2021 (7:30-9:30pm)
Details of Weekly Sessions:
This course is based on and uses the materials of The Marriage Preparation Course (published by Alpha International), which was developed by Nicky and Sila Lee, who are on staff at Holy Trinity Brompton, London, UK. Besides viewing the video teaching by Nicky & Sila each week, there are also live speaker sessions, couple discussion time, and sharing with other participants in small groups.
In addition, there is a couple assessment called the Prepare/Enrich Assessment, that each participating couple will have to complete online. This assessment identifies the couple's strengths and areas for growth. Couples need to set aside a day or two to subsequently meet with their designated counsellor to review the results of the assessment.

A Retreat in Daily Life (RDL) (Closing Date: 7 March)
“Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.” (James 4:8)
In this season of Lent, we invite you to draw near to the Lord by making a Retreat in Daily Life. This retreat offers you an opportunity to learn to pray, to become aware of God’s presence in your daily experiences and deepen your relationship with the Lord. It is to be done in the comfort of your own home and as you carry on with your daily life.
What is involved?
a. You will need to intentionally set aside 30 minutes each day, according to your
own schedule, to meditate and listen to God through given Bible passages.
b. You will have a trained spiritual guide who will guide you through the retreat.
You will meet with your spiritual guide several times during the two weeks for
about 45 minutes to converse about your prayer and day to day experiences so that together you can discern God’s presence in your life. The meeting times will be arranged between the two of you.
c. There will be two group meetings you need to attend:
The opening session (where you will be guided on how to meditate and listen to God through Scripture) and
The closing session
When?

Opening session: Saturday, 13 March, 9am-1pm
