CHILDREN'S MINISTRY
Silver Boxes
We thank God that we are able to go online on Zoom with the children. There were about 141 children who attended last week’s online session on Zoom. We pray that every child will be able to encounter God even though the lessons are online.
We thank God for the leaders for their dedication and commitment, in teaching the children and journeying with them during this season of onsite and online lessons. We also thank God for one of our parents, who has joined us to help us with the online page so that it is more user-friendly to the children to engage with God online.
Pray for God’s protection over our leaders and children and families during this time as we encounter a rise in the number of quarantine orders in our midst.
Sonshine Kids
We thank God for that the attendance of the children has been very stable and for the parents’ support to let their children join us online on Zoom. We also thank God for the faithfulness and love of our leaders for these children, to partner with us to reach out and minister to the children in this time.
We pray that the Lord will continue to deposit in each of the children’s heart His love and His faithfulness through this difficult time. Pray along with us for God’s covering and protection over the children and our leaders during this time as some of them has been given the quarantine order due to their close contact with those who had contracted Covid.
DISCIPLESHIP & NURTURE
Let’s pray for the people in the 40 DOB CGs to experience true discipleship, deep bonding, and discovery. Pray for God to give them creativity and protection as they come out with ideas to bless the community.
Let’s pray for the people to be bold to sign up for the upcoming Alpha Course in Sep and the Silver Boxes Volunteer Training on 29 Aug. Ask God to shower His guidance on the trainer and facilitators during this time.
Let’s pray for our worshippers to sign up for the Infant/Youth/Adult Baptism and Membership Class in Sep. We thank God for the facilitators who have committed themselves.
We commit the whole Church to mature in her discipleship unto the Lord through worship and word, with God working wonders in each of her members, so that together, we can be a blessing to the community and the nations.
Young Adults
Pray for our young adults who are resuming their university studies this month.
Pray for our young adults who are studying/working abroad and for those who are preparing to travel for studies.
Pray for our young adult cell groups as they continue to meet online. Pray for divine encounters as they bless the needy through the 40DOB.
Please pray for the mental and emotional wellbeing of our youths and for them to see the shalom peace of God is there for them.
CHURCH CORPORATE PRAYER MEETING
As we enter the third week of 40DOB, pray that we will come together as one big family to seek first the kingdom of God. Pray that members will attend the online corporate prayer meeting on 11 Aug for the purpose of pursuing God’s guidance and direction in one accord. The Prayer Meeting will be on Zoom from 8pm to 9pm. Registration closes 10 Aug, 6pm.

Care Hub is formed to support and journey alongside our members / worshippers whose lives and livelihoods have been affected by this crisis. The end goal of Care Hub is pastoral care, for someone to journey with them and remind them they are beloved of God and to find strength in God to face the challenges.
As each individual has different needs, Care Hub serves as a one-stop helpline where an individual can obtain support in the church in various areas. If you have been affected by this crisis, Care Hub is here to support you.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. Do I need to be a worshipper at PLMC to obtain help for Care Hub?
As long as you have been worshipping with us, either on-site or online, you are welcome to obtain help from Care Hub. We seek to journey with you as a family of faith during, and beyond, the COVID-19 period.
2. Is it compulsory for a Care Befriender to journey with me?
Yes, it is. We are not designed to journey alone. The church is the Body of Christ and each of us is a part of the body. Having a Care Befriender in this journey is to experience the community and interdependence of our Triune God. God is never alone; we need others too.
3. How long will the Care Befriender journey with me?
Each person has a different journey. Each journey is unique. In general, the Care Befriender will journey with you 3 – 6 months. Let these be a meaningful journey of deepening in God through the company of another.
4. Can I request for pastor to be my spiritual mentor/counsellor?
Yes, you can make the request, but we are all called to be a priesthood of believers hence most likely a mature believer will be assigned to journey with you. Trust that it is God’s hand that has led you thus far, and He will ensure that you are mentored or counselled by the right person with the necessary spiritual gifts for you.
5. I am not affected by COVID-19 but I need someone to talk to. Do I send my request through Care Hub?
No, Care Hub specifically caters to those who have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and its ramifications. Please contact the relevant ministry that caters to your need directly. Contact details can be found at the end of this site, under ‘Our Ministries’.
COVID-19 has brought about an unprecedented economic crisis affecting lives and livelihoods. Yet, in every crisis, there is an opportunity to demonstrate Christian love and unity.
