We thank those of you who had registered for the delivery of Holy Communion cups. However, Bishop Dr Chong has changed his mind concerning the delivery. For the sake of the unity in the church, we will abide by the Bishop’s position and put the delivery on hold for the time being. We appreciate your patience in this matter.

The COVID-19 pandemic has been a trigger for a whole host of reflections and responses in and outside the Church. For Christians, many wonder what God is doing - Is this divine judgment, trial or even persecution? For everyone, we grapple with how we should response to the sick, weak, and impending economic chaos. In the last 2,000 years, the Church has endured several devastating plagues. What lessons can we learn from them, as we enter into a post-lockdown norm?
Dr Lai Pak Wah, Principal of Bible Graduate School of Theology, is the keynote speaker for this session. He will bring us through a short survey of how Christians in different era respond to their own pandemics and what we can learn from them. After his keynote talk, the panellists will discuss and respond to Dr Lai's sharing. Together with Dr Lai, the panel will help and guide us through the process of Christian thinking and respond to related issues in our own time.

Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the Christian faith. Each talk looks at a different question around faith and is designed to create conversation. Alpha consists of three key things: food, a talk and good conversation. Invite your pre-believing friends or relatives to join us and learn the Truth of God.

Care Hub is formed to support and journey alongside our members / worshippers whose lives and livelihoods have been affected by this crisis. The end goal of Care Hub is pastoral care, for someone to journey with them and remind them they are beloved of God and to find strength in God to face the challenges.
Each individual has a different starting point in their journey. But each will appreciate a spiritual friend to journey alongside. This spiritual friendship is the backbone of Care Hub.
As each individual has different needs, Care Hub serves as a one-stop helpline where an individual can obtain support in the church in various areas.
Care Hub has 2 levels of support:
A Spiritual Friend aka Care Befriender is assigned to each Applicant for a period.
Professional Intervention will be provided on a needs basis, for example:
a. Professional Counseling
b. Spiritual Direction
c. Career Coaching
d. And more…
If you have been affected by this crisis, Care Hub is here to support you. Please let us know here https://carehub.plmc.org. We are rolling out the English version of Care Hub first, and the Chinese version will follow.

How do you bounce back from the everyday stuff that makes you feel down? Sometimes life overwhelms us, and we feel down. We have no energy, don’t want to do anything but sleep and not meet anybody. Or we slump into can’t-get-anything-done, dragging-my-feet and feeling-super-down blues. Do you lack passion and motivation? Are Monday mornings sluggish and tense, with a sense that life is empty and work is unpleasant but unavoidable? As the old adage goes: when life throws you lemons… we make lemonade. But what if we can’t? The key is to learn helpful ways to manage your mood, stress and anxiety.
Speaker: Mr Benson Soh
In 1980, Benson began his career as a Licensed Social Worker and gained extensive knowledge with more than 4 decades of clinical and social work experience. He has served in various organization such as the Singapore Children’s Society, the Samaritans of Singapore (SOS) and Parkway Pantai, helping people from various age groups and facing different challenges. He uses an integration of approaches in his counselling practice with clients distressed with depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and many other mental health issues. Currently he works part-time at Fitness & Health International and as an academic staff member for ECTA and Swinburne University of Technology teaching Suicide and Crisis Intervention.

OUTREACH
1. Outreach Planning Committees
Pray for God to lead and guide us in the “New Normal”. Pray for God to reveal His sovereign perfect plans as we seek Him on His will on how and what we should do post COVID-19. May we bring His message of love to the community and underprivileged in creative ways that pleases our Lord Jesus. May God grant us such a great harvest that is beyond our imagination as the PLMC family makes known His salvation to all HE draws to Himself through the demonstration of love and power.
2. Father’s Day
This Father’s Day, may we bring the message of our Abba Father’s love to all our migrant friends, many of whom have been issued Stay Home Notices and/or are isolated during this period. May the Holy Spirit give His words of love and encouragement to our children from Silver Boxes and youths from Youth Ministry as they prepare the cards for our migrant friends. May our migrant friends come to know how much our Heavenly Father loves each of them.
3. Friends of Jesus (Homeless)
We thank our Lord Jesus for His favour that we are able to resume our ministry to the homeless. Pray for God’s protection for all the volunteers and also for God to lead and direct us to be able to find all the uncles/aunties who are still living out in the streets. As God lights the way for us, may we shine for Him to draw all whom He loves back to Him.
4. PLMC Family (Volunteers)
For all who still have to work from home, ask our Lord Jesus to pour His wisdom, knowledge and love into each of us to reach out to all who have yet to know of Christ’s love.
Pray for God’s providence on all who have either lost their jobs or have suffered a pay-cut during this trying time.
Pray for each family to stay united and strong during this season, for our hope is in our Lord Jesus Christ.
Pray for the Holy Spirit to surround our family and loved ones with God’s love and protection and good health.
Pray that God will use PLMC to be restorers and builders of networks of relationship so that others will see Christ in and through them.
Pray for our spiritual ears and eyes to be opened, so that as a church, we will align ourselves with God’s purposes and agenda for our church, families and nation.
With the nation-wide closure of all non-essential businesses and offices including our Church Office, we understand that there will be anxiety, frustration, sadness, anger, helplessness and a whole slew of other emotions.

Prepare Yourself for Online Worship
And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another — and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
We know a lot of our messaging these past weeks, based on the government advisories, have led to a bit of confusion as at first, we could meet in groups no bigger than 250, then a maximum of 10, and now only with our immediate families.
We thank God for technology that has allowed us to meet online. It wasn't too long ago that we were thrilled by WhatsApp and video calls which are now part of everyday life. So let's continue to "meet together" online.
We can also "spur one another on" through social media, messaging apps, and good old telephone calls.
