The Main Story
The Main Story
Caelum: The place that PLAVE originated from (except Hamin)
- Sky in Latin
Asterum: A place where PLAVE members reside in now
- Comes from the word Astrum, meaning star in Greek
Terra: The place we (PLLIs) are living currently
- Earth in Latin
The PLAVE members were originally from the planet Caelum, but with the help of Terra developers, they came to the planet Asterum, where they are able to contact the people of Terra. In summary, we and PLAVE live in two different dimensions, which is why they are often viewed as "aliens". This is also why they often don't refer to any part of Seoul and often have headaches when remembering their "past life"
In the music video for "Wait for you (기다릴게)", PLAVE are shown getting teleported from Caelum to Asterum.
Yejun
Noah
Bamby & Eunho
Hamin
In the WAY 4 LUV music video, they're seen collecting heart-shaped items. These seem to be either star shards or Terra's love, which help them gain eternal life and support them in ASTERUM.
All characters created when a creator from terra begins to write/draw them and are initially "born" in the form of a cube in the VitaexCubo (likely meaning life [vitae] & (to) death [cubo]) it is located in the sky of asterum. If a character receives enough love in Terra due to a serialisation of a webtoon, animation/cartoon movie or something similar, the cube splits and falls as a meteor and comes to life in a virtual world called Caelum. At the same time, debris of the cube fall and make debrie which is called "starshards" which have some form of mysterious power. They can fall onto Asterum. When these characters lose popularity, they disappear and go back to being a cube at the Vitaexcubo.
The PLAVE members seem to be able to get to asterum through the crack, or rift, between the space to move between planets and universes/dimentions.
Yejun, Noah, Eunho and Bamby are the main characters of 3 different webtoons that were serialised but are now all discontinued. Side characters and such have already disappeared, and the main characters do not have much time left to live. it is later discovered by the Lost Media Society (LMS), that these works were written by a anonymous author named 3v3r
Webtoon Serialisations:
(1) Yejun - 'Today, I'm going to treat/heal you'
Serialisation: Portal Site
Genre: Fantasy, Healing
Status: Uncertain Existance
(2) Noah - 'Heart of the moon'
Serialisation: Webtoon platform
Genre: Fantasy, Magic
Status: Existance Uncertain
(3) Bamby & Eunho - 'Chroma Drift'
Serialisation: Novel Platform
Genre: Science Fiction, crime, investigation
Status: Section discovered
These works are (as can be seen) where the first 4 PLAVE members are from! Yejun comes from a webtoon which depicts everyday life in a "fantasy" world, it was a work which wasn't popular at first but gained traction after a while because of its unique worldview. Noah comes from a fantasy and magical webtoon and part of the "amateur writer section" but maanged to rank in the top 5 ranking for amateur webtoon which allowed it to be published officially. Finally, Bamby & Eunho come from a sci-fi, crime type webnovel (it turns out it was actually a webtoon on a webnovel platform), which formed a fandom called "cro-magnon" but ended up being terminated due to financial difficulties on the platform.
(4) 'Heart of the moon side story'
Serialisation: Personal blog
Genre: Fantasy, Magic
Status: Does not exist
(5) 'Sixth track'
Serialisation: Community
Genre: SF (Science fiction), Drama
Status: Turns out it's not 3v3r's work
(6) 'Untitled (Martial Arts)'
Serialisation: Unknown
Genre: Wu Xia (martial arts) , Fantasy
Status: Existance Uncertain
It turns out that the last 3 works listed in the LMS are in fact, uncertain. Number 4 is simply a theory that it was serialised under the author's personal blog, but there is currently no evidence. In number 5, the sixth track turned out to be a fanwork by some fans. This is the reason w,hy if you check out the M/V for "the 6th Summer", you will see a sudden change from the usual 3D graphics. Finally, number 6 is an untitled work that the author had been planning to make but never ended up releasing.
Hamin was a character from an aforementioned unserialized martial arts webtoon; he has not been shown to the public, which is why he was not born in Caelum but instead existed in a cube in the space of life in Asterum known as the Vitaexcubo. Currently, it is unknown how Hamin emerged from the cube alone.
"Hello, I'm Hamin"
One day, Hamin opens his eyes in the birth space of Asterum. He should not have been able to do this as he does not "exist" yet. But, somehow, he is able to communicate with Developer A (the one who created him in Terra, a.k.a. 3v3r) and escapes the cube through a crack in space between Asterum and Terra.
Developer A, who gave up their dreams of being a webtoonist, became a programmer and recalled the characters they had previously drawn (Yejun, Noah, Eunho, Bamby) through communication with Hamin. They did this to prevent them from disappearing and executed a code to summon them to Asterum from Caelum together using Hamin's powers from the star shards. These star shards are used to expand the rift in space, which helped allow the transfer of the remaining members over.
All in all, PLAVE gathered in Asterum in hopes of receiving the love of Terrans again through their music and gain eternal life.
Asterum Language:
A fictitious language that can be decoded to Hangul, it is often used as a form of secret code.
Caligo:
In Caelum, it seems like it has a will of its own. This is where Caligo come in. Caelum resurrects some characters that have since faded and uses them to form the planets army. These warriors who have "lost their ego and follow only the will of Caelum" are called Caligo. They're role is to subdue characters that run wild when surrounding characters are destroyed, or to supress conflicts between characters.
"Everything is according to the will of Caelum"
Alternate Universes & Theories
As we currently know that "the 6th summer" is in a seperate universe to the current lore, it is implied that there are other songs that may or may not be connected to this universe. For example, their japanese debut song "hide and seek". Currently it is unonfirmed whether or not this single (and it's korean version) is connected or not.
THEORY: In PLAVE's Japanese debut single "Hide and Seek", has as an alarm which can be heard in the song, which may be a reference to "the 6th summer". Although many PLLIs speculate that there is more symbolism in the music video that links it to "the 6th summer" in another way. This can be from the fact that the music video can be looped to Noah seemingly going missing at the end of it, leaving a recorded video with the date 23.06.24, which is the date that the music video of "The 6th summer" was released.
it is very plausible that the korean version and japanese version of "hide and seek" may be opposites of each other, each side being told from the perspective of either the "hider" (Korean version) or the "seeker" (japanese version). However, this is simply speculation.
