What is skimming?

Skimming refers to applying what is known in the plastering industry as a finish plaster. This is applied by hand and is done in 2 coats which are applied back to back in the same visit. This results in a beautiful finished wall, ready for any decorating and painting.

Is skimming right for me?

Skimming can be carried out on a number of different backgrounds. including solid plaster i.e. sand and cement, plasterboard and sometimes if you live in a newer build you can even skim over artex.
