Scotty has been cross country skiing since 1983, and is an instructor trainer and examiner for the Professional Ski Instructors of America. Scotty's book, Falcon Guides' Basic Illustrated Cross Country Skiing (now out of print), explains classic and skate skiing from getting started up through intermediate and advanced skills.

Get your cross country ski adventure appetite met in the intersection of the Absaroka and Gros Ventres ranges in wild lands of the Bridger Teton National Forest (BTNF) in areas adjacent to Grand Teton National Park. Ample snow, wildlife, remoteness and quiet are descriptors that all characterize the best aspects of the Blackrock Ranger District of the BTNF.
