With all of the gloom and doom, one might ask, where is the hope? Well all is not lost

West Virginia is a state full of natural beauty with many scenic destinations. When compared with many states on the East Coast, few offer as much natural scenic beauty across four seasons as the State of West Virginia.

The one thing that West Virginia lacks when compared to other scenic destinations such as Pigeon Forge, TN, Myrtle Beach, SC, Orlando, FL, Branson City, MO, Las Vegas, NV is a place for tourist to spend their money. While scenic beauty is a wonderful thing, the reality is that most tourist travel to be entertained. This entertainment often takes place in the form of theme parks, entertainment shows, outlet malls, restaurants, resort hotels, etc. Scenic beauty is often "icing on the cake" for tourist. Essentially, tourists are looking for a place to spend money when they vacation.
