From Plant to Pill

The Philippines ranks among the top 17 in the world in terms of most diverse natural resources with 10,107 species identified and documented to date. Plants have long been known to be valuable sources of compounds used in the development of medicines throughout history. What would it mean if we could tap into this underutilized resource? 

Talking about peace-building in the country is an invitation to express one’s courage and commitment to building a just, hopeful future.

There were a lot of moments that I needed to pause, reflect, and just bask in all this knowledge not only from my mentors but also from my peers.

Inclusion is never solely by and for persons with disabilities. It includes every person, regardless of abilities, in the process as well as its sustainable impact.

What a timely session it is to talk about engaging in differences. Especially during these turbulent times full of stark personal, professional, and political differences.

If anything, I believe the mundane gives me the time and space to grow, and at the same time, just be.
