Philippine Learning Hub for a more compassionate, liveable, and socially just present and tomorrow

We believe that education goes beyond knowing a new theory or gaining a new skill. We are a deliberate education platform that helps rebuild local knowledge systems, strengthen local communities, and celebrate diverse Filipino cultures to help reconnect Filipinos back to ourselves and the islands that nurtured us.

We are on a mission to strengthen the collective hope and action of Filipino communities by transforming lifelong learning into an empowering and freeing experience.We aim to provide excellent frameworks and workshops to support more Filipinos break from the cycles of oppression through an education that centers the well-being of the planet and people and empowers people-led movements.

WHAT WE DO

We raise awareness on Philippine knowledge systems. Visit our open resource library to access learning materials for Filipinos made by Filipinos.We conduct culturally-relevant learning experiences. We design courses and workshops that foster critical thinking, decolonization practices, and human-to-earth connection. We offer consultancy services and learning design. We work with individuals, organizations, movements and communities to create and deliver or co-deliver transformative and impactful spaces, events and activities. OUR PHILOSOPHY

Empowering Critical and Compassionate Action

We believe in examining assumptions and deepening our understanding of ourselves and how we connect with the world. This can shape how we approach challenges with equal dedication and compassion which is essential in how we understand and shape a future together.

Forging Connections through Experiences

We recognize that everything is connected including the interdependence between ourselves and others, people and planet, mental and physical health. We weave in the values of life-centered design where connection in experiential learning is key to seeing an education that is more than a one-sided teaching and skill acquisition. We dedicate experiences that bring participants closer and provide an opportunity to learn in a safe space.

Learning Together

We believe that there is something to learn from everyone and there is more to learn with diversity in the room. Through a learning collective, we can spotlight grassroots and community-led initiatives that can last long and inspire collaborative movements.

Centering Archipelagic Narratives

We believe that witnessing and getting to know each other are fuel for building long-lasting change. Thus we work to center our work and give a platform to Filipino voices, stories, and values so more Filipinos grow their awareness and compassion for our stories and histories. Ultimately, we hope to promote participation and local collaborations and share the hope and power to the hands of more people through a culturally-relevant education.
