Note: For all the following abilities, you will need to have the the glove equipped in your hand.
First, you will need to call the pikmin for them to follow you around. This can be done by pointing the cursor at the pikmin then pressing and holding [R]. A box will appear which will grow larger the longer the [R] button is pressed (maximum size is 11 x 11 x11 blocks).
Next, you can throw the Pikmin by pressing [right click] in the air. The pikmin type corresponding to the colour of the glove will be thrown. Flower pikmin are thrown first, then buds, then leaves.
Pikmin will cling to mobs when thrown at them and deal constant damage. They can cling to any hostile mob except for the Ender Dragon (due to the fact that the Ender Dragon knocks-back all mobs within close proximity, there was no way to get the pikmin to cling). The damage will stack with more Pikmin thrown on the mob.
If you want to dismiss Pikmin to stop them from following you, press [C] and the pikmin type corresponding to the colour of the glove will become idle. Idle or thrown Pikmin that are on the ground will automatically attack enemies nearby (watch out for Creepers!)
If you have a glove in your inventory, you can perform a quick dash, either to the left by pressing [Z] or the right by pressing [V]. This will allow you and your Pikmin to quickly evade incoming attacks.
