The State Department will permanently end CDC's role implementing PEPFAR in FY2027. Congress has weeks to act. The most critical step: include direct transfer language specifying $2 billion in the FY2027 appropriations bill.

Partners In Health vehemently opposes new extractive conditions being written into global health-financing agreements by the United States State Department. These memoranda of understanding (MOUs) clarify exactly what an “America First Global Health Strategy” looks like: prioritization of U.S. commercial interests over human life, massive cuts to U.S. global health, and establishing unachievable conditions to co-financing.

Uber: try to order it the night before to escape rush hour.
Public Transit: plan for this to take around 30 mins. Give yourselves extra time in case trains are slow/crowded at rush hour. This will cost $2.25 - you can download the SmarTrip app to your phone ahead of time or purchase a ticket at the station. Factor in extra time if you will purchase a ticket at the station.
Engage will be meeting in front of the Capitol front steps on the concrete area between the Capitol Building and the Visitor Center.

Walk down the side street on Independence Street and South Capitol Street.
Start at South Capitol Street entrance, across from the John Dingell Room/Energy and Commerce Subcommittee - you’re on Floor 1.
Take a right and walk to the elevators.
Go down one floor to floor “G”.
Take a right and follow signs for Cafeteria (Room 2063) - walk straight to the end of the hallway and take a left.
The cafeteria will be on your right.
