You will receive an email from us in the third week of June to inform you of your financial aid award, as well as the details we will need from you to process any reimbursements for travel. Please keep an eye out for this email, and respond promptly to action items outlined in the email.
If you haven’t booked travel yet, we recommend that you do so ASAP! If you receive financial aid to cover travel costs, it will be in the form of a reimbursement. Therefore, unless you feel uncomfortable booking your flights without a guarantee of aid, you should go ahead and book your flights now.
The 2026 PIH Engage Crash Course will be released in late June. Once it is released, plan to complete either the beginner or advanced Crash Course before the start of TI. You will be required to show your crash course completion certificate at the check in table!

It will be very hot in DC this August and we will be walking around outside on the hill, so PLEASE bring a water bottle and comfortable walking shoes. Please also bring a government-issued ID for possible Capitol Security Search.
Chaperones are welcome to attend and listen to the main sessions, but they do not need to be present at all times. They are free to do their own thing. For Hill Day, it may be useful to have assistance in finding Capitol Hill.
Please bring notes/pen/paper, a water bottle, and a sweater for the indoor space for your comfort. You are welcome to bring your laptop, tablet, or other device for note taking if you prefer.
