Last week Newton College travelled to El Limonar International school, Murcia to compete in an Interschool tennis competition.
Congratulations goes to the Year 9 students, not only did they compete and win their category- but as the year 10’s could not attend they participated in an older age category and showed great talent in winning that age group also!
A special mention goes to Petr from year 8 who was the only boy from the year to be able to make it to the event, holding his own winning every game he played.
Our school organised the 2nd Basketball Inter-School Competition at University of Elche. This event was an extraordinary success where 5 different schools participated with a variety of teams from Year 7 to Year 10 (boys and girls included).
King's Murcia dominated the majority of the leagues proving an extremely high standard on basketball. We would like to congratulate them for their great performance, coaching and help with the event. At the end of the event, King's Murcia was declared the overall Champion of the 2nd Inter-School Basketball Competition.
Students from years 7 & 8 participated in a football competition organised by Kings College Alicante. They spent the day playing football against other international schools with great enthusiasm and brilliant sportsmanship.
Fantastic performance from both teams which manage to enjoy a very well organised event and lead NEWTON to another glorious victory.

Last 1st of October, our students from secondary participated in a swimming event in Murcia. On this ocassion, Newton Team was represented by students from Year 7 to Year 9. The event was planned to show great performances in a great variety of swimming styles.
Newton students managed to impress for their high level of performance in many of the different swimming styles and team performances. The outcome of this first event of the year was fairly positive and it raises the standards for future events.
Monday 27th May the school participated in a beach volley ball competition.
This is a first for the local competing schools which was organised by Kings College Alicante and held at Playa San Juan.
Teams of boys and girls from years 7 - 10 competed in what was an amazing experience for all.
Congratulations to the Year 7 team (boys and girls combined) who left the competition with the silverware for their age group winning all games in which they participated in.
