Dutta, BGS National Public School, Hulimavu, celebrates a standout performance by our Under-16 cricket team in their KSCA Division 1 opener against Gopalan National School. BGS NPS took a decisive first-innings lead in a thrilling two-day match that ended in a well-fought draw. Key highlights include a stunning five-wicket haul by Thanav A to restrict the opposition to 143, and an unbeaten 134* by Sai Rochan that powered our second innings to 263/2 declared. Hearty congratulations to our young players and physical education coaches, Mr. Naveen Kumar T R, Mr. Praveen Kumar, and Ms. Muthulakshmi, for their dedicated guidance and tactical effort.

Bathed in the benevolence of divine grace from Sri Sri Lord Dr. Prakashnath Swamiji and inspired by the constant guidance of our visionary principal Dr. Malini M. Dutta, BGSNPS Hulimavu scripted history by securing a place in the KSCA U-16 Division I Final for the very first time. In a thrilling semi-final clash against Jain Heritage School, our team delivered a monumental performance to seal a hard-fought three-wicket victory. Electing to bat, Jain Heritage School was restricted to 76 runs in their first innings thanks to a disciplined bowling attack led by Yedwath and Akhilesh with three wickets each, supported by Anuj with two wickets and Thanav with one. BGSNPS then built a strong foundation by scoring 162 runs, backed by key contributions from Sai Rochan with 43 runs, Yashas with 24, and matching 22-run efforts from Yedwath and Adithya to gain a vital 86-run lead. Though Jain Heritage fought back with 209 runs in their second innings despite shared bowling honors among Akhilesh, Yashas, Anuj, Rochan, Thanav, and Aditya, our boys faced a target of 124 runs for victory. Demonstrating immense composure under intense pressure, Thanav with a heroic unbeaten 45 and Yashas with a crucial 41 guided the team past the finish line. This historic triumph reflects the exceptional coaching strategies of Mr. Naveen Kumar T R, Mr. Praveen Kumar A, and Ms. Muthulakshmi, marking a triumphant milestone for BGSNPS sports.
