Partha was advised at doctoral level by three fine gentlemen; a German with a strong interest in geotechnics from geohydrology and geophysics perspective (Alex), a French specialist on electromagnetic methods (Thierry) and a distinguished expert in environmental hydrology hailing from China (Ling). Prior to that, Partha  had the opportunity to work under the mentorship of Prof. Das  in the discipline of geotechnical and geoenvironmental engineering.

This is an interactive page. Please click on the name/picture of an academic to know more about them, their thesis title and advisor(s). Some of the branches go a long way back, and some terminate early due to lack of further information.

This page is meant to tell you a story; a story as depicting (a) why our research themes are highly interdisciplinary and we genuinely value collaboration, and (b) how that helps us address fundamental questions that transcend the boundaries of conventional Geotechnical Engineering!

PS. Our academic offspring are not included in this page, and can be found in the "People" tab of this site.
