Emissive Mixer

The Emissive Mixer panel will list all the used Emission Shaders or emissive Principled BSDF Shaders in your Blender scene.
Important: Principled BSDF shaders are only supported from Blender 2.91.2 and above.
Only supports LuxCore materials with Use Cycles nodes at the moment.

Press the Scan button to populate the panel.

The Scan will ignore emissive Shader nodes that are not currently emitting any light:
- Muted nodes.
- Materials with no users.
- Shader nodes with no output connection.
- Principled BSDF with black Emissive Color or Emissive strength set to 0.

As you are free to do whatever you want with your material, it is possible that the Emissive Mixer misbehaves after some of your changes. If that’s the case, simply Scan again.

You can Create a new Emissive material from the panel.

  • If you have an object selected, it will replace the current active material slot (the one selected in the Material Property panel).

  • You can also create a material while having faces selected to automatically assign it to them.

  • If nothing is selected, the new Emissive material will be assigned a fake user.

Shader Type: Select between using an Emission Shader or a Principled BSDF.
Principled BSDF is only supported by Blender version 2.91.2 and above.

Replace all Material Slots: Enabling this option will remove any existing Material slot on the selected object and effectively assign the new Emissive material to the entire object.
This option has no effect when assigning a new material to faces.
This option can be turned on automatically using Shift-Click on the Create Button.

If your Emissive shader node has connections into its Emissive settings, the Panel will ask you to Add Emissive Controls, which will insert Multipliers in-between.

Emissive Mixer also supports multiple Emissive shader nodes inside the same material. They will be grouped under the same material.
