Olivier Monfort is investigating a new research direction that make him awarded the Slovak republic Scientist of the Year in the category Young Scientists. The discoveries of his research team along with his international collaborations in France and USA about the use of oxidized MXenes, a new category of 2D nanomaterials, for wastewaters treatment are considered a pioneered fundamental research direction for the design of quaternary treatments.
