How can I borrow/check out a book from the Library?
Answer:
Search the OPAC (Online Public Access Catalog) to check the availability of the book.
Once the book is available, fill out the borrowing slip.
Locate the book on the shelves using the call number provided.
After finding the book, proceed to the Circulation Counter for check-out
How can I pay for lost books
Answer: Lost books must be reported immediately to the librarian. The lost book must be replaced with the same title or the latest edition. In addition, a corresponding fine will be charged from the date the book was reported lost until the replacement is received.
If the book is irreplaceable, a related title on the same subject—approved by the faculty or Head Librarian—must be provided as a replacement. An additional fee of ₱50 will be charged to cover acquisition and processing costs.
How can we access eBooks and eJournals subscribed by the Library like EBSCO?

During online classes, library users can still access printed books through the book scanning services, here’s how:
Check book titles from Library Website under library resources
Copy the Title, Author, Copyright Year and Location of the book, and send to library.rc@phinmaed.com
A Librarian will respond to you, if the specific title is available, a copy of the Table of the Contents will be emailed, otherwise, an alternative title will be recommended, and the Table of Contents will be sent as well.
Select and send the specific chapter for scanning request.
Once the book chapter is scanned, access link will be sent through your PHINMA email.
How do I reserve a book?
Answer: Faculty Members - Special Borrowing Privileges
1. A faculty member may authorize a representative to borrow materials for him/her
by presenting to the Circulation counter the following:
A letter duly signed by the faculty member designating his/her representative.
The PHINMA ID of the faculty member.
2. The faculty member is responsible for all the materials issued under his/her name.
3. Extended loan period may be granted to a faculty member during semestral break/summer vacation provided he/she keeps track of due dates.
Renewal
Items may be renewed online, by phone or in person. Renewal will not be allowed if it reaches the maximum renewal limit. Renewed due date should replace the original due date.

How do I look for library materials regarding my topic of research?
Answer: You may use the Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) available in the library to search the Library Collection. This collection includes books, journals/periodicals, audiovisual materials, theses/dissertations, periodical articles, and the vertical file index.
When you find materials of interest, be sure to take note of their location, call number, and availability status for easy retrieval.
